Through the Water, Sanitation & Hygiene initiative, Essau Foundation is committed to improving the health, dignity, and living conditions of vulnerable communities by increasing access to clean and safe water.

Many communities, especially women and children, continue to face challenges caused by water scarcity, poor sanitation, and inadequate hygiene awareness. In response, the foundation supports sustainable solutions such as borehole drilling, community water projects, sanitation improvement programs, and hygiene education initiatives aimed at promoting healthier and safer living environments.

We recognize that access to clean water goes beyond basic necessity — it directly impacts education, health, economic productivity, and overall quality of life. By reducing the burden of traveling long distances in search of water, especially for women and children, communities are able to focus more on education, income-generating activities, and personal development.
